Challenge
Create the user experience for the launch of a self-serve pension portal, starting from zero knowledge of the pension business or secure portal requirements.
Outcome
Phase 1 of the Member portal was designed and successfully released: registration and sign in, a simple profile update form, and a complex beneficiary assignment user flow and form.
I was subsequently retained by the client to create the user experience for the remaining portal features as well as additional website projects. The firm I was contracting with used the project to create a project with another pension plan.
Deliverables can be reviewed in paper form on request.
My Role
- Wrote business requirements, functional requirements, and detailed use cases based on workshops with subject matter experts (pensions)
- Created the information architecture and wireframes
- Facilitated review sessions and presented to VPs and the president of the pension fund
